Company Information

Who we are

HQ : Shizuoka city, Shizuoka
Established : 1964
Employees : 848

The MISUMI Group manufactures and sells mechanical parts, tools, and consumables essential for manufacturing sites. We serve over 310,000 customers globally, providing them with products through an optimized e-commerce model for manufacturing, acting as an “unseen supporter” of global manufacturing.

As the mother factory of the MISUMI Group, our company is responsible for product development and manufacturing. Nearly all of our products are made-to-order, and despite manufacturing and selling individual designs, our strength lies in delivering high-quality, low-cost products with reliable, short delivery times. Our technical capabilities enable us to deliver a vast range of products, over 800 quintillion types, to a global market with guaranteed short delivery times.

Our production bases are located in Japan, Vietnam, China, Thailand, Korea, and India, expanding our technology from Shizuoka to the world as a global corporation with more than 4,000 staff overseas.

Furthermore, our company culture encourages taking on challenges. With a “just try it” attitude, one is free to start on anything. The opportunity to work on a variety of tasks from an early age, including major projects, is one of the attractive points that allow our younger staff to hone their skills.

Our vision

As a trading company specializing in mold parts and FA (Factory Automation) parts required in the manufacturing field, MISUMI handles the production of MISUMI brand products at what we call the “MISUMI Mother Factory.” Our strength lies in the production technology that allows us to pursue “high quality, short delivery times, and low prices” to the extreme, shipping a staggering 800 quattuordecillion (800 billion times a trillion) product types within two standard days after receiving an order. We are a global company based in Shizuoka, supporting the world’s manufacturing industry from behind the scenes.

In today’s age, as “manufacturing” faces major shifts due to digitalization, the effective utilization of “time” is increasingly important as a corporate strategy. The MISUMI Group provides “time value” to customers by pursuing “reliable short delivery times.” Even for made-to-order mold parts and FA parts, we ship by the standard second day, with a delivery adherence rate of 99.96%. We are committed to various production improvement activities such as our “Web Order System” and “standardization of products.” We are globally expanding these initiatives, strengthening our reliable short delivery systems worldwide. By taking on the tasks of design and procurement of parts, we allow our customers to dedicate their valuable time to intellectual production activities such as product development.

Our services/products

We develop and manufacture automation (FA) parts, precision mold parts, and optomechanical equipment.

【Precision Machining Technology Required in Cutting-Edge Fields】

Our products are widely used in cutting-edge fields. For instance, our compact automatic positioning devices are often supplied to research institutions such as companies, universities, and governmental agencies, and used in laboratories, nuclear power plants, and the aerospace science field.

Supporting this is our long-cultivated precision machining technology such as cutting, grinding, and polishing for various materials. Meticulous attention is paid to quality control, and with the motto of having only one complaint per one million orders, rigorous checks are performed using precision measuring instruments.

Products crafted by integrating various know-how and technologies meet the users’ demands for high quality, strict adherence to delivery schedules, and are capable of handling a wide variety of small lot productions. We have received high praise and deep trust for our offerings.
