Our company was founded in 1968 as a specialized producer of automatic stamping machines in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture, and has been striving for technological progress by specializing in the technical field of printing. In Shanghai, China, we formed a local subsidiary in 2002, and in Chennai, India, we built a local subsidiary in 2013, driving our expansion on the global market.

We’re focused on developing innovative approaches in Japan, such as edible inks and capsule ink. As a technology development-oriented company, we are further strengthening our technological capabilities by thoroughly investigating high-precision microfabrication technology and droplet technology.

We received ISO9001 certification in 2003 and ISO14001 certification in 2004.

Our CEO

Our vision

It makes no difference how small it is.
Find something that individuals are unwilling or unable to perform.
Once you’ve found something, go after it with everything you’ve got.
You might one day become the best in the world if you do this.

It is a way of life to strive to be the best.
Being at the top is, above all, the most interesting.
This concept underpins all of our product development efforts.

Our services/products

Kishu Giken is the only company in Japan that specializes in the development, manufacture, and sale of inkjet printers and inks. We have also created an automated stamping machines that supplies a significant share of the domestic market and DOD (drop on-demand) Inkjet Printers which account for more than half of the domestic market. In order to give shape to the voice of the market, we are working on further development of new businesses based on marking technology from a global perspective.

Clean room

Our company’s products consists of:
➣Drop on demand inkjet printers (DOD): The term “Drop-On-Demand” refers to jetting ink droplets only when necessary. DOD printers are mainly used for the printing of company names, product names, lot numbers, and relatively large characters like QR codes and various types of barcodes on the outside of cardboard boxes.
➣Continuous inkjet printers (CIJ): Unlike DOD, CIJ printers deliver a steady stream of ink. The ink flow is controlled with an electrical charge that directs ink droplets to the substrate or diverts them into a recovery system. CIJ printers can be applied to impermeable materials such as coated papers, plastics, metals, and so forth.
➣Roller Coder (Stamping Machine): Japan’s very first automatic stamping machine
➣Print inspection device: A device that aims to detect printing defects in inkjet printers
➣UV irradiators for industrial inkjet printers
➣Metal nanoparticle ink: We sell silver nanoparticle ink. Silver nanoparticles are the most widely used conductive material in the field of printed electronics. We make our own silver nanoparticle inks, and we have four different types with different metal content and solvents.
